Rafi-uddin Shikoh is Managing Director of DinarStandard, a growth strategy research and advisory firm specialising in emerging Muslim markets. He has 17 years of advisory and in-house experience and specialises in market expansion, investment planning and marketing strategy for large as well as small companies. He has led innovation workshops for Dubai Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, as well as a halal economy training workshop for Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance.

Rafi-uddin has authored several publications and is the lead author of State of the Global Islamic (Halal) Economy Report and Global Muslim Lifestyle Tourism Market 2012: Landscape & Consumer Needs study. He is a director at Goodforce Labs in Dubai. He was Vice President of Mash Inc. and a senior e-business strategy consultant for the Boston-based Dialogos. He holds an MBA from University of North Carolina and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Southwest State in Minnesota.

Ajith Basu is Chief Consultant-Programs at Agastya International Foundation, an NGO that uses interactive, hands-on methods to educate over 1.7 million government school children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in 22 Indian states each year. The foundation handles teacher training programmes and coordinate ‘giftedness’ identification programme in STEM among rural children with various organisations including National Institute of Advanced Studies and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Ajith developed an impact assessment framework to assess various Agastya field intervention models in collaboration with various agencies in Bangalore. He designed and coordinated Agastya’s leadership of HP Catalyst New Learner Consortium which worked across eight countries. He also designed and coordinated Maverick Teachers’ Global Summit at Agastya campus where teachers participated, creating school-level pedagogies around UN SDGs.
